Literature Text

Where is he,
where is the savior,
where is the leader,
where is the man who makes us live?

Where is our energy,
where is our fuel,
the power that feeds,
the source to carry us on?

Where is he now,
as we go to hell,
is it not his control,
whether we join his side or the other?

People are dying,
people are fighting,
all around,
people are killing themselves.

Our planet,
our home,
is being reduced into rubble,
into a tiny rock.

Where is he when we need him,
is he even there?
Where is the mighty one,
when we are in despair?

As humans it is in our nature,
to fight for power,
to kill those who have it,
but in the end, is it all worth it?

Only we as humans can answer that,
for we ourselves are our own god.

Think of it as that,
we decide our days,
we make them what they are,
we choose our actions.

While he,
if even out there,
just sits,
and watches us die.

I'm terribly sorry if this offends anybody out there. It is not meant to offend, more so of my feelings towards something of religion. Maybe I shouldn't even be posting this, but this is truthfully how I feel, and well... Freedom of speech, right? :)

Haha whipped this up in a few minutes. Just something I feel. I am an atheist, which means I do not believe in any sort of "god" persay. But whatever. If you're religious, I'm all for that! Doesn't change at all who you are. :)

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy it! :)

another really strong one, seems relevant to the other. really powerful. i find everyone questions the world like that. where is he? how could he let this happen? but then i think even in the backs of the mind of the most religious is the fear, everything we do we have to fix ourselves. and it all comes back to us. very powerful piece.
